The mural “En Tránsito” was an ephemeral work of art designed and executed by the visual artist Rosemary Gólcher. The materials used to elaborate the mural were acrylic paint, ropes and ribbons. The work was made on the main facade, during the construction of the AERIS Employees Dining Room at the Juan Santamaría International Airport. The dimensions of the mural were 46 meters in length by 3.20 meters in height, a great artistic challenge that made reference to the hectic journey of people in the airport and to the labor itself. The work was on display for a large part of the construction process.

At Rae Ingenieros we have always believed that our organization, first of all, is a service bearer. We are convinced that currently globalization requires not only international excellence to compete in an increasingly complex world, but also sensitivity to access the diversity that interculturality worldwide demand in service.

At first, “rae ingenieros ...for the art” was aimed to transform the inconvenience and disadvantages of a construction in an opportunity to exhibit contemporary art, providing ornamental service while we were executing our work. Over the years, it has been adapted and transformed to become a program of general support or sponsorship of art in general, to the visual art in particular and to the Costa Rican artist.

It offers to the general public the ideal juncture to know and enjoy the most relevant artistic expressions of the country, putting it in touch with creative languages that have traditionally been reserved for the elite culture.

It creates a space for the artist’s feedback with the general public promoting it and opening new spaces to project and commercialize its work, enriching the identity of both.
